When Frank Loesser wrote “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” in 1947 he did not intend it to be a holiday song and he was perturbed by the fact that it became exclusively performed during December (Source: Wikipedia). This holiday association has served the song well, however, because the song’s holiday vibe allows for it to be revisited and enjoyed year after year, reminding listeners of their own hopes and dreams for love and life during the holiday season.

Meghan Bay's yearning jazz vocal rendition of this classic holiday love song is great for chilling out by the fire and dreaming of the new year ahead.
